What's On Your TpT Wishlist?

Hey all!

It's that time of year again for Teachers Pay Teacher's Back to School Sale. I can't believe how fast summer went this year. Phew! My room is about 85% done. Whoop whoop!

I just found this linky today. I thought it would be perfect in preparation for the TpT Sale Sunday and Monday. All you have to do is link up with 2 products from your store and 1 product on YOUR wishlist.

1. My most wishlist-ed item is my Measure Madness. I love this unit because it has a variety of activities for the students to do that will get them up and moving. Including...racing marbles down a ramp made from toilet paper, paper towel, and wrapping paper rolls. How fun is that? It is one of my student's favorite activities.
Another activity where student measure how far their cars go.
Click the picture to go to my store.
2. The next product is my 2-D and 3-D Shape book. This book acts as a great way to introduce 2-D and 3-D shapes. Students will be able to draw each shape, as well as, identifying attributes of each shape. The book can be used for review through your shapes unit.

3. Now it's my turn. I swear my wishlist is pages and pages long. The one product that I can't wait to have is...

Interactive Vocabulary Notebook by Abby Mullins. Doesn't this look amazing? It looks perfect for helping my students with new words.

I will also have my store on sale on Sunday and Monday. Don't forget to get your wishlists ready.

It's My Birthday, a Sale, and an Award!

Hey all!

Last night I was checking my email and I got the this lovely email from The Fashionista Teacher. Jenna nominated me for a Liebester Award for new blogs! (She is so sweet!) I can barely contain my excitement. I am so excited that she likes my blog enough to nominate me!
To accept the nomination I must:
1. Link back to the blog that nominated me
2. Nominate 5-11 blogs with fewer than 200 followers
3. Answer the questions posted for you by your nominator
4. Share 11 random facts about yourself
5. Create 11 questions for your nominees
6. Contact your nominees and let them know you nominated them

My nominees:
Caitlin and Carrie at Table Talk with C and C
Kayla at Meet Miss Parker
Ms BBZ at Ms BBZ's blog

My Questions:
1.      What is your favorite thing about yourself?
My smile.

2. What is your favorite place to shop?
I love shopping at this adorable local shop called Romy’s. It has great outfits perfect for school. However, I just added Very Jane to my favorite places to shop. Who can resist those adorable chevron scarves?

3. Where would your dream wedding be?
I would love to get married in Italy. I have never been but the pictures of it look absolutely beautiful.

4.  Why did you start your blog?
I started a blog because I wanted to meet new teachers that had the same passion for teaching that I had. I am excited to have found so many wonderful bloggers so far. I also can't wait to meet more teachers.

5. What is your favorite blog (besides mine)?
This is so hard! There are so many wonderful blogs out there. However, my favorite blog is Teri’s from A Cupcake for the Teacher. I love all of her products and she has wonderful ideas.

6. Do you have a special talent?
I’m not sure this is a talent but I have a knack for remembering people’s names. This always comes in handy at the beginning of the year and matching parents to their kids.

7. What is the last book you read?
Lucy Caulkins “Writer’s Workshop” Hopefully this summer I will be able to enjoy some personal reading.

8. What's the number one most played song on your itunes?
Right now it is the new Blake Shelton song “Boys Around Here.” It is so catchy and perfect for summer.

9. What do you miss most about being a kid?
Not having student loans. I love that I have my degrees but Oi I hate that bill each month. (Especially the amount of that particular bill.)

10. What chore do you hate the most?
I actually have 2…I hate to clean the oven and fold my cloths. I will bargain, beg, and pled not to do either of these things. The weird thing is that I don’t mind actually doing the laundry. It is just the folding and putting away of all the clean clothes.

11. What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?

I love September. Even with all the craziness of getting my classroom together and meeting new students it is still my favorite time of year. Plus I am usually tired of all the hot weather by then and ready for warm sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes.

Show Us What You Bought!

Phew! It has been one of those weeks. (You know the one I'm talking about.) When the weather is beautiful, the kids are antsy, and the teacher is tired. Thank goodness it is almost Friday. I am linking up with Blog Hoppin' to show you what I bought from Teachers Pay Teachers.

I am in the boat of teachers that are not really sure what I will be teaching next year. Our teachers move around a lot due to the high mobility in our district. This means that next year I might not be teaching the same thing or even at the same building. I saw a ton of adorable and wonderful looking units for 2nd grade but I had to restrain from buying them.

However I did buy this unit from Amy Lemons. I can't wait to use it.

I snagged these clip art packs by  Krista Walden.I can't wait to use them in future products. I already have some ideas floating around.

I also got a couple of clip art packs from Ashley Hughes. She always has wonderful products.

Don't forget to enter in my giveaway. You still have a few hours left.

Five for Friday on a Saturday

Hello All!

Spring Fever has had my class hard this week. The sad part is, we still have 30+ days of school left. (I realized my summer counter is counting the weekends too.)

I am linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.

1. Yesterday we got together with our Kindergarten reading buddies. We decided to make encouraging sayings and notes for our 3rd graders taking the state tests. In 2nd grade we don't have any state tests to take...yet.

2. We celebrated Earth Day by making these adorable crafts.

3. We did Lorax inspired reading and math activities all week.

4. I just finished this new plant unit. Head on over to TpT to check it out.

5. After the crazy week I had, I enjoyed this lovely beverage.

Have a good weekend.
